Everyone likes puffins! Lots of our passengers have already had some spectacular closeup encounters with the puffins this summer but time is running out.
We usually see the puffins leave Lunga and Staffa for the Atlantic around 4th of, perhaps a little later, so if you want to see these amazing birds there’s only a few days left to organise your boat tour.
Watch this short video of just how close you can get to the puffins!
There’s nothing quite like a visit to the Treshnish Isles during July when the puffins are at the height of their summer activity. The young puffin chicks hatch in their underground burrows and meanwhile, the adult puffins are busy fishing. It’s an amazing sight seeing these comical little birds taking off from the cliff top, diving into the water, and arriving back at their burrows with beakfulls of sandeels to feed their young. It truly is a wildlife lover’s and photographer’s paradise!
Treat yourself to a spectacular summer day out with Staffa Tours. Tours leave throughout the day from Oban, Fionnphort, Iona, Tobermory and Kilchoan. Visit our website for boat tour details, timetables and online booking for boat tours to Staffa and the Treshnish Isles.
